Welcome to our Governance section. 

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.

We have also provided a Register of Governor Interests and an Annual Statement of Issues for your information.

The governors are a group of committed individuals who work in partnership with the Headteacher, Mr Walsh, to ensure that the school runs smoothly and effectively and is constantly striving to improve the quality of service it provides. Our Chair of Governors is Mrs Christine Redding.

The governing body is made up of different people representing different parts of the community. There are:
  • Local Authority representatives (Mike Gregory, Tony Banbury and Christine Redding)
  • Community representatives (Mrs Patricia Skinner, Mrs Laura Biggs plus one vacancy)
  • Two staff representatives (Claire Makelis and Joanne Kohler)
  • Parent representatives ( Helen Connett, Emma Roberts, Gary Thomas and Steven Donald )


The Full Governing Body meets four times per year, with two governors’ committees meeting nine times.

Mr Walsh reports to SAAB as well as the Full Governing Body. The Deputy Head, Mrs Makelis, reports to CLASS. Our Clerk to the Governors is Mrs Susan Williams.
