We had a wonderful day at The National Marine Aquarium today. Sadly our boat trip was cancelled, however the Aquarium staff gave us an amazing tour that showcased our scientific learning from class. The children shared their knowledge of life cycles, adaptation, habitats and the Great Barrier Reef with the staff and they were incredibly impressed. During the afternoon we made habitat hats built up in three layers. Firstly the children used rubbings to add texture, then paper collage to add their sea creatures, followed finally by plastic and tissue for other textures in the habitat. The results and the pupils explanations of their choices were superb. We had so many complements from staff about the behaviour of the pupils which made us incredibly proud. Well done Year 2!
