Guided Walk to Bellever Forest, Dartmoor 11.3.20
Year Three had a great time at Belleer Forest with our knowledgeable guides Richard and Bob. We learnt all about the trees in the forest and why they grow in such a specific way, the soil on Dartmoor and its acidity and met some of the wildlife that lie here. Richard and Bob also showed us some of the Bronze Age sites found here, including some settlement remains, stone rows, cists and cairns! It was a great way to kick start our Bronze Age unit of work by visiting these sites and the children are looking forward to finding out more about life during this ancient civilisation.
