Believe - achieve - succeed

Mon 11th Jan - Fri 15th Jan

Hello and welcome to our first full week of year group specific home learning. You will find the planned activities and resources below. Online English and Maths lessons can be accessed via the links on the home learning grid, but there are paper based versions available too. If you are struggling to get online, please let us know.

I Can Do Maths refers to the First Mental Arithmetic Books that were sent home in the home learning packs. Please complete only one page per week. The children are used to this routine in school, with the idea being little and often having the most impact on practicing their mental maths.

You will have received a message on Seesaw with your child's phonics phase. They should work through one of the Power Points in each on the allocated sessions, and practice their phonics phase spellings (below in the resources section) each week.

Reading books have now been made available on the school web page, with books split into each book band. As per normal, regular reading is essential and will help the children through this extended period away from the classroom. Feel free to record your child reading and send it to us on Seesaw. You can find the book library through the following link:

We understand how much of a juggle all of this can be, so please let us know any way that we can help. We will be phoning you all over the coming weeks, but please use Seesaw as much as possible for contacting us and sharing what you have been doing at home.

Most importantly stay safe and look after each other!

Mrs Jarvis, Mrs Pring and the Year 2 team.
