Remote Learning 2022
Welcome to Year 2's remote learning for 2022!
If your child has to self-isolate for any period of time, and feels well enough to complete some work, they should use the following resources that we have put together.
We suggest having a go at 1 English and 1 maths task a day as well as reading and phonics. In addition to this, you may like to spend time researching and completing tasks linked to our current knowledge organiser which can be found below.
We would love to see what your child has completed during their isolation and celebrate their achievements with them. Please do share what they have done with us on Seesaw or bring it in when they return to school.
Should you require any further support, guidance or physical equipment in order for your child to complete these tasks, please do not hesitate to get in contact via Seesaw or the school office and one of the Year 2 team will get back to you as soon as we can.
We would like you to work through this exciting unit of work all about writing a report all about witches! Try to complete one lesson a day. There is no need for a login to this website and the unit of work can be found on below.
We would like you to have a go at the unit 'addition and subtraction of 2-digit numbers' on Oak National Academy. Please try one lesson a day starting from lesson 1.
Should you want an additional challenge then have a look at the unit 'addition and subtraction word problems'
There is no need to login to this website and the units can be accessed below:
If your child is unsure which phonics group your child is in, please ask your child which teacher takes them for phonics each day (this may be different to their usual class teacher). Please click on the below link to access the phonics PowerPoints to work through. We suggest one lesson a day.
Mrs Jarvis: Phase 6
Mrs Goodland: Phase 5
Mr Spamer: Phase 4
Miss Galloway: Phase 3iii
Miss Marinou: Phase 3ii
Mrs Lamerton: Phase 3i
(All Phase 3 PowerPoints can be found under the phase 3 link)
If your child is in Mrs Kohler's grammar group, please use the attached activity worksheets (and accompanying answers)
We realise that isolating can be a tricky time for children. We suggest looking through these lessons which are part of our Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education programme. This unit of work called 'It's OK not not to be OK' which centres around different feelings and behaviours. Again, there is no need to login to this unit of work and can be accessed below:
For the Spring term our two units of work are: Adventures Down Under (5th-28th January) and We Are Britain (31st Jan- 18th February)
The knowledge organisers can be found below. Please spend some time looking at these and researching an area of interest with your child.
