Islamic Speaker

On February 8th, Year 3 had a very special visit from Rania, who came to talk about her religion of Islam. They discussed the origins of the religion and identified Saudi Arabia, Mecca and Medina on the world map and the direction as South-East from Plymouth. The children shared their knowledge of Islam from previous lessons, naming the 5 pillars of Islam and the importance of the mosque. There were some fantastic questions asked and the children showed great understanding of others' beliefs and religions.
