Where We Live - Orienteering

Year 3 have combined their maths, geography and PE skills in orienteering. Having learnt about coordinates and grid references in class, the children applied their learning out on the school grounds. First they learnt to orientate their maps according to visual landmarks. Then they used map reading to locate their check points and find the letter clues in order, spelling out a secret code. This was all done while running between the markers and using some superb team work and communication. Well done Year 3.
