Devon Winter School Games 2015

The girls Cross-country Team, made up of pupils from Years three and four, made the short trip to Torbay to participate in the Winter games which is an event that draws in schools from across Devon to celebrate the ideals of good sportsmanship and respect when participating in sports.

As an added bonus, Georgina Geike, the first British pistol shooter to ever qualify and compete at the olympics was in attendance, the girls managed to try their hands at shooting and met the
Winter games mascot as well !

The team performed brilliantly with Aimee (Y4) coming in a superb 7th place and Jessie (Y3) in 35th. The team came in 12th place overall - a superb achievement for our first ever representation at this event! Well done to Katie, Jess, Rhiannon, Aimee, Jessie and Amelia! We are very proud of you all!
