Science week 2025 - All about birds

We kicked off science week with a fantastic visit from Alan Ames, ‘Bird man,’ who introduced us to four incredible birds of prey and brought our science curriculum to life with his explanations of lifecycles, animal adaptation and natural sustainability. The following week saw a plethora of bird related activities including making bird seed cakes, painting with feathers, bird spotting, nest-making investigating beak and wing adaptations, creating pom-pom and playdough birds for different habitats and much more. It was a brilliant week of science in action.
