Believe - achieve - succeed

Religious Education (RE)

In R.E. at Pomphlett Primary School we believe that R.E contributes dynamically to children's education by provoking challenging questions about the meaning and purpose in life, beliefs in God, ultimate reality, issues of right and wrong and what it means to be human.  During a child's time at our school they will learn about diverse religions and world views including Christianity and other principal religions: Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism.  We recognise the diversity of the UK and the importance of learning about its religion and world views, including those with a significant local presence.

Under the provisions of the Education Reform Act 1988 all parents have a right to withdraw their child from the School's daily 'Collective Act of Worship' or from religious education.
