    Thu 25 Oct 2012

A team of 12 Year 3 and 4 children visited Coombe Dean School for an afternoon of Invasion Games based Multi Skills. They were taught by some Coombe Dean Sports Leaders, some of whom were ex-Pomphlett pupils. It is lovely to see how children who have taken part in these festivals go on to be part of them at Secondary School too!

Our Year 5 and 6 Cross Country Teams ventured out for the first race of the season at Coombe Dean School this week. It was a long and often muddy course against schools from across the city. Pomphlett came 4th as a team with a fantastic effort made by the whole squad. We are looking forward to the race at Eggbuckland School next Tuesday.
  • Bettison Cup Football

    Tue 16 Oct 2012

Our Year 5/6 Football team visited Plymstock School 3G pitch on Monday evening to take part in the first section of the Bettison Cup. The team played 5 other schools from the Plympton/Plymstock area and showed some fantastic team work and sportsmanship in the process. They drew two games, lost two games and won one game. We will wait to hear if we have made it through to the next round after half term. Well done to the whole team for representing us so well. Bring on the rest of the season!
