  • Year 3/4 Multi Skills

    Wed 16 Oct 2019
Today our Year 3/4 pupils visited Coombe Dean School for a wonderful morning of Multi Skills. They were encouraged to use our Steps to Success of ‘Push Yourself’ and ‘Try New Things’ as this was the first inter school competition for many of them. They enjoyed learning from the Secondary School leaders and really want to take part again.
  • FS and Plymstock Library

    Wed 16 Oct 2019

This morning, Foundation went on a walk to Plymstock Library. Jackie the librarian, read us a story about a wolf and a cave. The children enjoyed listening to and joining in with the story and were very excited to be given their own copy of the book.

  • Pomphlett Sports Leaders

    Wed 09 Oct 2019
Our team of Year 6 sports leaders spent the afternoon at Plymouth Life Centre being trained as Bronze Ambassadors. This involves them leading events, clubs and organising sporting activities across the academic year. They will be role models for our school values of team work, determination and perseverance. Keep a look out for what they've been up to on our website and Facebook page.
  • IS YOUR CHILD ENTITLED TO FREE SCHOOL MEALS?

    Tue 08 Oct 2019 D Webber

If you have a child attending Pomphlett Primary School and you receive certain benefits, you may be entitled to claim free school meals.  If your child doesn't already receive free school meals Plymouth City Council is able to check your eligibility online, therefore minimising the need to provide proof of your entitlement.  It is of great benefit to us if you are entitled to free school meals as we receive extra funding for all children who qualify.  Why not check your entitlement!  Please refer to our section 'School Meals'

  • PAFC Schools Cluster League

    Mon 07 Oct 2019
Tonight our Year 5/6 boys team took part in the first of the football events of the year at the Manadon Sports and Community HUB. They played seven games against schools from across the city, winning 4 and losing 3. The team came in a superb 4th place, narrowly missing out on a place in the finals. We were incredibly proud of the team spirit, sportsmanship and maturity of our young players. They were all a real credit to the school. Well done team!
  • Cracking Cross Country

    Fri 04 Oct 2019
The first of the PSSP Cross Country events have taken place at Plymbridge and Coombe Dean Schools. We have had almost 60 children join our school cross country club and almost all of these want to take part in these warm up races. We have seen outstanding team spirit, perseverance and determination in every race, especially with our youngest year 3 runners who have been taking part for the first time. Well done to everyone and thank you to all the parents for their support and help with transport.
