  • Pomphlett's Got Talent!

    On Friday 13th March Pomphlett brought out a variety of talented pupils in the name of Comic Relief! They performed in front of the whole school to raise money for a very worthy cause! Well done everyone!
  • PAAC Cross Country

    Over the last term our cross country team have taken part in 4 league races at schools across Plymstock, with the final race taking part at Goosewell last Friday. The Year 5 and 6 teams have run in all weathers and battled illnesses to take part, coming 5th as a team overall. Individual mention goes to William H (Y6) and Leah G (Y5) who both came 3rd overall in their individual categories - a super achievement that takes consistent running to achieve.

    Well done to all who took part and earned valuable points over the 4 races.
  • Forest School

    Six children from across the years at Pomphlett Primary School have been involved in a new short term project learning new skills at the Forest School which is situated at the back of the sports pitches.
  • Devon Winter School Games 2015

    The girls Cross-country Team, made up of pupils from Years three and four, made the short trip to Torbay to participate in the Winter games which is an event that draws in schools from across Devon to celebrate the ideals of good sportsmanship and respect when participating in sports.

    As an added bonus, Georgina Geike, the first British pistol shooter to ever qualify and compete at the olympics was in attendance, the girls managed to try their hands at shooting and met the
    Winter games mascot as well !

    The team performed brilliantly with Aimee (Y4) coming in a superb 7th place and Jessie (Y3) in 35th. The team came in 12th place overall - a superb achievement for our first ever representation at this event! Well done to Katie, Jess, Rhiannon, Aimee, Jessie and Amelia! We are very proud of you all!

    Dear Parents
    You probably are already aware that there will be a Solar Eclipse on Friday 20th March 2015 at approximately 9.25 am.

    Pomphlett School have received guidance from CLEAPSS and all supervising teachers and staff have been briefed regarding organisational issues surrounding the safety of all pupils in school during this solar eclipse.

  • Change 4 Life Festival - Plymstock School

    A small group of 16 pupils from Pomphlett joined other schools from across the City for a morning of different sporting activities at Plymstock Secondary School.  The children celebrated the Olympic standards and tried out a variety of different sporting activities.  The session was enjoyed by all.

  • Key Stage One Multi-Skills Festival.

    Children from Year One and Year Two travelled to Coombe Dean Secondary School to participate in a Multi-skills event sponsored by the Pupils and Team of the secondary school.

    The children were able to take part in ball skills, sprinting and running activities, hand/eye coordination and jump/leap events, improving balance and mobility.

    All the children enjoyed the activities and are looking forward to future events being held within the secondary schools.
