• The Great British Get Together

  KS2 joined classes for the Great British Get Together. They went to each activity in their team colours rather than their year groups. 

  

• Boccia

  Yesterday three Year 2 pupils visited Tor Bridge to take part in the termly Boccia competition. It was great fun and we won lots of our games.

  

• Easter Break

  Just a reminder that we break up for Easter on Friday 31st March and children return to school on Wednesday 19th April.  The school is open on Tuesday 18th April but as a NON PUPIL DAY.

• Oreston Cross Country

  On Friday we visited Oreston School to take part in the third of the Plymstock Road Runners Cross Country League. The ground was boggy and hard going but the team were superb! They ran the fast paced and flat (ish) race. We picked up some medals along the way (Jessie 2nd Y5, Aimee 2nd Y6, Finley 3rd Y6) and the Year 6 boys team all finished in the top 20 again! Superb! Well done to all who took part and the fabulous parents who came to support. We will see you again at the final race on Friday.

  

• World Book Day

  Today the school have been celebrating World Book Day. Children have dressed up as their favourite character and have taken part in joint reading sessions with classes from across the school.

  

• SSP Basketball

  On Wednesday our Year 5 and 6 basketball team visited Coombe Dean School for the area competition. They came in a respectable 3rd place, scoring lots of baskets in their games. Special mention goes to Luke in Year 6 for winning the shoot out competition! Great effort!

  

• Dan The Skipping Man Day

  Today the whole school took part in skipping workshops provided by Dan the Skipping Man Company and their coach, Ed. Every child took part learning new skills and tricks with a skipping rope. A great time was had by all and the children enjoyed sharing their best bits in assembly at the end of the day!

  

• Primary Rowing Competition

  Today our team of 8 dry land rowers visited Plymstock for the Plymouth Primary Championships. They competed against teams from all across the city with 360 rowers in total! It was a brilliant day and the team did us proud! Well done to all who took part, and Mrs Hurst for taking them across.
